Selection of the Daffodil Queen takes place at the Queen’s Coronation, which is held several weeks prior to the Grand Floral Parade. There have been 77 Daffodil Queens in our 80 year history. There were three years without a Queen during the height of World War II.
A Queen is selected from a panel of five independent Judges from a Formal Interview and her performance on Coronation Night. The winner of the Coronation shall be known as Queen and shall wear the crown for one year.
