Educator of the Year

Beginning in 2005, the Daffodil Festival implemented a program, with the intention of celebrating the excellence of Pierce County academic excellence, called “Educator of the Year,” which asked each Princess to select an educator from their high school, who they believe has supported, influenced, and played a major role during their educational experience. Each of the educators selected by the program is recognized at the Daffodil Festival Princess Promenade, The Queen’s Coronation and the Annual Daffodil Festival Grand Floral Parade.

The program would not be possible without the support of the Mustang Club of Pierce County, who provides the transportation for our educators in the parade, as well as the transportation for our Royalty in many out-of-town parades in the summer. The Festival would also like to thank Jaguar of Tacoma at Fife and Lexus of Tacoma at Fife for their generous contributions, that make this special program a reality.
